Welcome to the Event Planning & Staffing offered through the Medical Faculty Associates at The George Washington University. We have provided coverage for hundreds of events ranging in scope from local conventions to government conferences and international meetings. We are able to assist you with all of your health, safety, and medical oversight needs for any event regardless of size or location. Although many of our staffed events are located at the Washington Convention Center, we have been involved with events throughout the Distict of Columbia.

The Department of Emergency Medicine is able to provide all levels of care, from an Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) to Board Certified Emergency Physicians. Our ability to offer highly certified and credentialed staff, for events ranging from a few hundred to a few hundred thousand, makes us the leader in this field.

Services Provided:

• Licensed Medical Providers to provide First Aid services to any participant at your event.
• Medical documentation for all persons treated during the event, with all records maintained
   at the Department of Emergency Medicine at George Washington University.
• Emergency Physicians practicing at The George Washington University Medical Center will
   be available for consultation by the Medical Provider during your event.
• Medical Providers will report to the contact person for your event and will remain on site
   during the requested hours.
• Medical Providers will supply all medical supplies needed during your event.
• The name of the Medical Provider and a George Washington Emergency Contact will be
   provided prior to the start of your event.

Explanation of Proposal Process and Acceptance

1. A request for proposal is submitted to Kyle Majchrzak at the above contact information.
2. A proposal will be submitted, within 2 business days, by either via fax or email for review.
3. A signed acceptance of the proposal, prior to the “Acceptance Deadline” must be faxed to
    202-741-2921 for it to be considered binding and to begin the process of locating a
    medical provider. Depending on the size of the event, the acceptance date will be between
    three to eight weeks prior to the start of your event.
4. A health care provider will be secured for your event.
5. A few weeks prior to the start of your event, an email will be sent with your provider’s
    name and contact information as well as an emergency contact.
6. Payment is expected, either via check or credit card, prior to the start of your event.
